Description: In this project we had to draw a picture of anybody in the style of pop. Pop Art can be called Popular Art, because it was drawings of popular things. It originated in London, and later moved to the USA
I painted this portrait with a picture of myself, that I took before. We drew grid lines over the picture that way when we move it to our canvas, that way it would be easier to draw our faces. WE first sketched it with pencil on the canvas, and later added color to it. As you can see we used one color for our face. I used green and made 6 shades of the green, ranging from light green to dark green. Then for my background I had to choose the complementary color of green.
Reflection: I think the easiest part of this project was to paint the background. I just had to choose the complementary colors of green and and paint the background. Though there was the hard part. I had to cover the grid lines that are in the background, which took some time. Mainly though it was easy
The hardest part in this project for me, was when we had move our picture to the canvas, by sketching it on the canvas. It took some time to carefully observe my face or part of my face in a specific grid number. Also we had to catch small details like the dark lines on the top and bottom of our eyes.
